Heidi Freyer Craig
Owner

PILATES & BARRE INSTRUCTOR

Heidi was born and raised in Wilton, CT, and started dancing at the age of three. She received her early training from her mother, Linda Freyer, owner of the Freyer Academy of Ballet in Wilton, and went on to receive her BA in Dance at SUNY. Heidi earned her Independent Study Certificate at The Alvin Ailey American Dance School in NYC, as well as a certification with the prestigious American Ballet Theater’s National Teacher training program. While dancing and performing in New York, Heidi pursued her Pilates certification through Power Pilates. In addition to teaching classical ballet and modern dance she has taught Pilates extensively throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties as well as in the Hudson Valley. To round out her skills she has received additional certifications in Barre fitness, including one from the well-known Exhale. She is currently co-owner of Freyer Academy of Ballet and is thrilled to be co-founding CORE PILATES BARRE in its first Hopewell Junction studio.

Lauren Messina

PILATES & BARRE INSTRUCTOR

A Connecticut resident, Lauren Messina, finds the commute to the studio well worth it. She enjoys the laid back vibe of the Hudson Valley and loves connecting with clientele at the studio! In addition to teaching barre and Pilates classes, Lauren is a mom to three daughters and a Palliative and Hospice Nurse Practitioner. She finds happiness in filling her days helping others through their individual journeys of health and wellness while also balancing the challenges of raising 3 girls!

Lauren was certified in Barre through 'BarSculpt" in MARCH 2020 and in Bodhi (TRX) at the Pilates Barre in Ridgefield, CT. She is also certified in Pilates mat 1, 2, 3 in 2022 through the intensive Balanced Body program. Lauren likes to incorporate her varied fitness trainings into each of her classes to provide a fusion of strength, endurance and fun. 

Vanessa Mickalonis

PILATES SCULPT & BARRE INSTRUCTOR

Vanessa is a contemporary trained Pilates instructor. She is certified for Pilates Mat and Megaformer through BODYROK NYC. She is also fully apparatus trained through Moving Strength NYC / RB Pilates. Vanessa also completed her Barre certification through FORME in CT. Since a young girl she has been an avid runner, running both half and full marathons. She was assistant cross country and outdoor track coach for two year at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Pilates became a big part of her workout routine as a runner and she is a big believer is mind/ body exercise. Vanessa is originally from Saratoga Springs, New York but moved to NYC to take on her education in Fashion Design. She designed for both Nike Girls and Tommy Hilfiger women's out of school. After living in the city for 10 years she moved back upstate and now resides in Beacon. She absolutely  loves teaching group fitness classes at CORE PILATES BARRE!

Brooke Gutierrez

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

In 2011 Brooke began her first steps in her journey as a yoga student. She holds it to be the primary vehicle for the growth and community in her life.

Brooke believes that being a dedicated yoga student supports and nourishes her teaching. With her personal education and practice being paramount, she has completed 200 hr YTT, a 300 hr YTT, and a 100 hr Singing Bowl Training with Dutchess Yoga Studio. She has been honored to share yoga with her community as an Instructor since 2015. In addition to yoga posture Brooke's teaching approach emphasizes the importance of maintaining the mind, spirit, body connection. She infuses the tradition of her Hatha Yoga training into her classes. She is passionate about creating an environment that is intentional, spiritually minded, emotionally informed, and empowering for the practitioner.

Allie Kilroy

PILATES & BARRE INSTRUCTOR

Allison was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. She started dancing at the age of three and danced competitively in various styles. Allison continued through college and choreographed for her college dance team. In 2014, she became Zumba certified. Recently, she completed her Barre certification through Core Barre Fit. She continues to teach dance and Zumba in Stormville. Allison is also a third grade teacher and loves to incorporate brain breaks for her students, giving them opportunities to move throughout their school day. When she's not teaching, you can find her running around with her husband son and dog! 

Audrey Rose

YOGA / REIKI INSTRUCTOR

Audrey Rose is driven by a genuine belief in the transformative power of yoga. Her personal experience with yoga began after a life changing car accident, coming to the practice for physical recovery but founding the path to heal not only physically but mentally and spiritually. Illuminating for her the profound impact yoga can have on our lives. 

In Audrey's ongoing pursuit of wholeness, she emphasizes the importance of embracing all eight limbs of yoga, recognizing that true beliefs arise when we delve into the mind. (dhyāna, mediation), body (asana, the physical practice of poses), and spirit (prana, the breath and life force). For her, deepening this connection is the key to igniting the light within each of us.  Audrey Rose's teaching style is a reflection of her deeply held beliefs. She sees each induvial as uniquely gifted with a purpose, and her philosophy centers on building a meaningful relationship with oneself to uncover that purpose organically. She acknowledges that every past experience contributes to the present moment of love and total acceptance. 

Jon Luke

YOGA / MEDITATION INSTRUCTOR

Jon-Luke is a yoga and meditation teacher, breathwork, and sound healing facilitator. He is devoted to guiding individuals on a personal transformative journey towards spiritual connection. He is dedicated to sharing both ancient and modern practices, and wisdom from a blend of world traditions, to empower and enlighten students seeking inner transformative and spiritual growth.

Amy Frances

YOGA / SCULPT INSTRUCTOR

Amy is originally from Newburgh, and started dancing at a young age. She continued throughout college where she began choreographing. While working in New York City as a producer, Amy received her 200-hour teaching training from VERAYOGA and discovered The Tracey Anderson Method which she's been practicing since 2017. Most recently, Amy co-created and danced in Opening the Spiral (Falling into Motion), a sire-specific dance piece performed in conjunction with Newburgh Open Studios. 

Amy has always loved to move and thrives when she's sharing what she loves. When she's not in the woods with her husband and toddler, you can find her at The Newburgh Yoga Shala, where she is currently enrolled in their teacher training program.

Olga Aisenstat

BARRE INSTRUCTOR

Dance and fitness has always been a major part of Olgas life. Her dance journey began at the age of 3, where she studied ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical at Pinewood School of Dance. She  was also a cheerleader for the high school football and basketball teams. After high school, she started teaching dance and gymnastics at Pinewood where her passion for teaching grew. She continues to teach dance in her new adult life while raising her family. In recent years, Olgas began taking Barre and Pilates classes at CORE PILATRES BARRE and she received her barre certification from FORME Barre in CT and is exciting to be teaching at CORE PILATES BARRE. 

Rebekah Tse

PILATES & BARRE INSTRUCTOR

Rebekah was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. She studied communications at Cedar Crest College. Rebekah has always been passionate about health and wellness. It wasn't until college, where she developed a true passion for Barre and has always dreamt of becoming a Barre teacher. She recieved her certification from Forme Barre Fitness and has continued her training with Core Pilates Barre. She also received her Pilates mat certification from Beacon Pilates and is starting her apparatus training through moving strength/RB Pilates. Rebekah is excited to be apart of the Core Pilates Barre team.

Julie Madsen

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Julie (she/her) has found yoga to serve as an aid to helping her move through the journey of life. She believes her personal practice to serve as a constant guide into a mindful presence, which contributes to becoming self-ware and gaining self acceptance, something we all as humans work for on a lifetime.  You will usually find Julie in the Mysore room. She loves the consistency of ashtanga and learning more each day to better her skills as a teacher and a practitioner. Teaching style and influences she has graduated from Newburgh Yoga Shalas 200- yoga Alliance YYT Program and now teaches with the goal of helping individuals achieve what she continues to find throughout the practice. Her vinyasa classes are influenced by the Ashtanga lineage she practices in: steady, rigorous and intelligently threaded together. 

Erin Jennings

BARRE / YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Instructors: About Me

Erin is a certified yoga instructor, professional dancer and dance educator. Erin believes in a life of compassion. joy and breath/ Always devotes to music and dance Erin has preformed in many dance/ theater productions in NYC and throughout the US and Europe. Her classes use music and breath to create a present and meditative movement experience.  Erin hold a yoga certification from Sonic and the National Yoga Alliance as well as Master of Arts in Dance and Education from NYU. She received ger Barre training from FORME in CT.
